Building Bridges With The Experts

September 27, 2022

Last September 23, the Philippine Institute of Interior Designers held this year’s biggest CPD event at the SMX Convention Center. A two-day seminar attended by aspiring interior designers and prominent names in the industry. The theme “Curve Up: Filipino Interior Design Reimagined” has opened great minds to more creatives, inspiration, and strategies to succeed in the design world.

Artdesign has the privilege of being part of this monumental event. Hosted by Mr. Jon-Joven Uy, he was again able to feature our trendy art and personalized posters to the group. Many of us may have been to several seminars, but this one is quite unique and thrilling. Starting with the format. It is not the usual lecture type wherein the speaker dominates the stage, and questions are asked after the presentation. The audience had a fantastic time interacting with the speakers as they were eager to learn and be motivated by the success stories.

“This event fired me up to do more. Learning from the struggles and success stories of those fantastic rosters of speakers was indeed very fruitful for me,” said Mr. Joven.

Not every day do you get the chance to speak with an interior designer. The PIID event has inspired many members to do well with their chosen profession and stand out globally. Like the story of Mr. Kenneth Cobonpue. Who would have thought that a Cebuano would make it big in Milan with his legendary creations? His story is like a fairy tale come true. People dream, believe and push themselves to the limit to reach the stars.

“Adding personal questions about their journey made the day of some attendees. It was mentioned during the event that those kinds of sharing inspired and challenged them to do much more and not give up,” continues Mr. Joven.

In lieu of the seminar’s theme, Filipinos are known for being resilient to survive the highly-competitive world. This is the challenge that we and the interior design industry are facing. The ideas and inspiration shared by the speakers have unleashed the fire burning in the participants’ hearts.

Being part of this memorable event, artdesign has created a bridge with interior design professionals. Making them known that we too can make a difference in the design industry. We make ordinary things extraordinary with the trendy art and personalized posters we offer.

Again, we express our deep gratitude to PIID, its officers, and members for allowing us to be part of their world and pursue our dream of beautifying the walls of the Philippines.
