Just recently, our very own, Mr. Jon-Joven Uy, hosted the 3rd CPD learning session of the Philippine Institute of Interior Designers (PIID), entitled Gastronomic Interiors. The objectives of the event are to update industry practitioners about the current trends in designing gastronomic spaces, techniques in conceptualizing restaurant spaces, branding, and restaurant operations. 

PIID is a prestigious organization of interior designers and an accredited institute of the Philippine government. Over the years the organization has been committed to advancing the interior design profession through education, seminars, accreditation, and outreach activities. 

The seminar was held last Aug 20, 2022, and attended by almost 100 well-known interior designers and entrepreneurs of the country. This is a privilege for Mr. Jon-Joven Uy as he was able to interview the speakers who are highly decorated in their respective fields. This was also an exciting learning experience and on top of that, he was able to gain new friends, like Events Director Interior Designer Paulo Castro, VP Interior Designer Joy Ejercito, and President Interior Designer Ivy Almario. 

Although the seminar was quite exhausting, the experience of learning new information and gaining more acquaintances is priceless, says our host. Listening to the presenters opened new ideas about interior design and its applications, especially in the food and hospitality industries. During this time of the pandemic, our lives practically were arrested. However, we know that this is just a temporary dilemma for all of us. Having these kinds of events only proves that the Philippines is moving forward and does not permit any obstacles that will cease our progress. 

What makes the event even more interesting is the opportunity for Mr. Uy to promote artdesign, especially our posters and frames. As one of the major sponsors of the PIID seminar, we were able to capture the attention of the participants with beautiful designs and high-quality materials. In addition to these, he has impressively made artdesign known by famous celebrities, such as Randy Santiago, Heart Evangelista, Sen. Chiz Escudero, Bianca Manalo, Ms. Pilita Corales, and many others. 

Surely, this opportunity with PIID is a big leap for artdesign as we continue our journey in beautifying the walls of the Philippines with trendy and affordable art. Kudos to the team and we’re proud to say that we’ve had monumental growth since the day we started.
